Goldsmithing is an opportunity to translate my sculptures into miniature and engage with the practicalities of making wearable art. It leverages many metalworking skills from sculpture but also demands precision, practicality and imagination.
Griffoner explores the concept of translating line drawings into 3D, playing with intersecting planes and aiming to capture the idea of a fluid concept in a more permanent, voluminous form.
The molten range focuses on wax as the driving force behind the lost wax casting process. It experiments with the volume of forms as well as the properties of wax then solidified into metal.
